The Rangiora Promotions Association, formerly Our Town Rangiora, was established in 1996 and is run by a volunteer committee of local business people. The association also contract two part-time staff members to over see the day to day administration and promotional aspects of the association. Together we are focused on promoting and developing Rangiora as an attractive and thriving community offering a desirable lifestyle for business, residents and visitors.
Rapid growth in residents post earthquake has seen increased business activity in our town, including interest from new businesses and national chains. While facing the challenge of rebuilding and reinvigorating High Street, RPA aims to work with all market sectors and business areas in Rangiora to help promote economic growth.
Our objective is to keep Rangiora prosperous, accessible and vibrant with a strong sense of community, while recognising the history and unique heritage characteristics of our town.
Thank you to the Waimakariri District Council who provide us with an annual Capacity Funding Grant to support our operations. Additional funding is sourced through sponsorship and grants throughout the year.
